Programming via USB while powered by eurorack?

Hi all
Just finished building Big Genes. Test program runs OK, once I’d been through the schematics & realised pots 1-4 need eurorack power to work.
My question is: can I program via the USB port at the same time as Genes is powered by eurorack +/- 12v? I’m worried the two power sources may not play nicely, if used at the same time.
Thanks, Si

It’s all safe, there is protection and a power switch IC handling USB power.

Yeah that’d be a bummer if it didn’t work as you couldn’t hear what you’re patching.

Thanks, that’s reassuring. Look forward to hearing it in action!

Funnily enough, when I built my Big Genes and first plugged it in to my computer, while it was powered from my Eurorack box, the Ksoloti Editor couldn’t see it.

When I turned off the Euro power, the Editor then connected.

After updating the Ksoloti board firmware from the Editor, it seems to now be found, even when powered with Eurorack power.
