Hi, First of all I’m so glad that Axoloti has made a return in this form! I’m spending this wet weekend trying to get to grips with the Ksoloti (1.0.12-8) patcher on a Macbook Air M2 running Seqioa but for some reason the Ksoloti keeps disconnecting when I try running patches. It seems to be ok with certain contributor content but gets a bit finicky with others, only I can’t seem to see a common thread. I have 2 boards I’ve been using and they both experience this issue. I re-flashed firmware on each of them and made sure to reset libraries but I get the same issue. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks!
That’s a known issue ever since the old Axoloti Patcher, apparently happening more frequently on Macs. Most of the old Java code hasn’t seen an update in a decade. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I am doing a complete connection overhaul for v1.1.0 and the connection should hopefully be rock-solid unless you “stress-test” it really hard (and even then it should disconnect gracefully as people like to call it).
There is going to be a dedicated ARM Mac (“Apple silicon”) version of the Patcher, too. I’ll put a new v1.1.0 release candidate package up soon.
In the meantime, try a different USB port and/or cable, it seems it has helped some users reduce the disconnection errors.
Ahh that’s reassuring, thanks for explaining! This is becoming a common theme for me, having recently moved-on from a 12yr old Macbook ![]()
