Multi-fx g (glitch effects)

The ‘g’ in ‘multi-fx g’ is for ‘glitch’ or ‘glitchBeast’.

multi-fx g.axp (52.3 KB)

This patch is a multi-effects unit based on the ‘glitchBeast’ object by Remco van der Most (sss).

To get started: turn down every single knob, connect a sound source to the Gills’ audio input, connect your headphones/speakers to Gills’ audio output, and play some audio while slowly turning up the volume knob.
If there’s no audio, check your sound source, your cables, and the input/output volume knobs.

There are 2 pages in this patch. Use button S3 to switch pages.
The encoder adjusts the global dry/wet mix. LED L1 = wet signal. LED L2 = dry signal.
Button S1 & S2 do different things on each page.
Button S4 triggers ‘echo stop’.

Lag, reverse, granular, gating, and randomise parameters here. S1 to turn on reverse, S2 to turn on granular effect.

  1. Lag: delays the signal without feedback
  2. Reverse rate: press S1 to turn on
  3. Grain size: press S2 to turn on
  4. Grain position
  5. Grain rate
  6. Gap: creates a gating effect. Timing is controlled by the ‘lag’ parameter.
  7. Gap offset: adjusts the gating length.
  8. Mod rate: Rate of chorus modulation
  9. Mod width: Amount of chorus modulation
  10. Random jam: randomises time

Bitcrush, distortion, repeater, phaser, and pitch shifter. S1 to turn on octaver, S2 to turn on sub-octaver.

  1. Bitcrush
  2. Octaver: turn for more high frequency.
  3. Sub-octaver: generates a sub-octave, turn for more high frequency.
  4. Repeater size
  5. Repeater repeat amount
  6. Phaser feedback
  7. Phaser pre-delay LFO rate
  8. Phaser feedback LFO rate
  9. Pitch window
  10. Pitch shift
