Recommended SD cards

On my axolotis I sometimes have trouble with Sd cards stopping to work. As I store a lot of data and patches on the card, this is a bit of a nightmare in a live performance situation.

I was wondering if there are any recommendations for specific sd cards that will make this scenario less likely?

I have made good experiences with the Sanddisk extreme:

64gb feel a bit overkill though. So I was wondering if there is any cheaper card with less storage that is sturdy and works well?

I dont think you can go wrong with the SanDisk brand. I think you would just need to find the specs that will work.

I always forget what all the number on the front of those cards mean so here is a good reference article:

I wouldn’t think you would need anything too fast unless y ou are playing samples from it.

Yeah these formats are confusing, thanks! I have that one in my blackbox and it hasn’t failed me so far. I do use my axolotis/ksolotis a lot, in rough outdoor dusty sitations too.

So I actually settled on this “high endurance” card by sandisk.

These are made to be constantly written to, which I don’t do. So this might be overspeced, but I rather be voerspeced than underspeced.

You’ll have to report back after a while and let us know how well it does
