Artium Instruments run a Kickstarter for The Swarm beginning late March 2024 with great success!
They have developed a very special and well thought out pedal-type instrument and effect combo powered by Axoloti/Ksoloti.
Eric at Artium Instruments (also Hungry Robot Pedals) has had designs for the Axoloti platform since back then but could not realize them as the Axoloti had become unavailable. He has recently been sourcing a few Ksolotis for development directly from me.
The swarm sounds very versatile despite being “hard-coded” into one single patch. This may sound like a contradiction to the Axoloti philosophy, where you are almost forced to design your own patches, but hey, the most fun and inspiration you may get is by playing patches others shared. Artium’s design philosophy resonates with me, I agree that for a truly inspiring instrument it may be more important to have a thoughtful and proven design rather than a box of “what-ifs” and “you-coulds”.
