'Saturate Audio Output' and using Gills as effect

alright. so I’ve done my DJ set with 2 Gills.

people were saying there was too much distortion

I was using 2 Gills in series as send return effects for my DJ mixer and I was using my ‘multi-fx m’ & ‘multi-fx’ patch

at home I just tested by playing songs from my iPhone to Gills, sounds fine. but in the club with Funktion One soundsystem, the bass sounds compressed (even with no audio effects on), there’s ‘too much distortion’ according to 3 people and the club owner

turned off ‘Saturate Audio Output’ now and the volume is lowered, can’t really judge how the audio effect sounds

anyone tried using Gills/Core/Big Genes/Axo as audio effects?
does ‘Saturate Audio Output’ actually saturate or distort the sound?

Hi! I don’t own gills so I can’t replicate your setup. I use my axos live with synth patches and I have no distortion or noise issues, and saturate audio output is always on. I copied your compressor object and I think that you are using a too much aggressive parameter setting. Look at the patch I have added with your comp settings, a simple sine wave is heavily distorted.
